Waste characterization is a lab test identifying the properties of industrial waste to check if it is hazardous (ignitable, corrosive, reactive, or toxic). This determines its Scheduled Waste (SW) code under EQR 2005 and dictates safe handling, which protects manufacturers from penalties and ensures disposal contractors accept the material.
The TCLP test (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure, EPA Method 1311) is the standard laboratory test for measuring how much toxic material would leach from a waste sample under landfill conditions. It is required when disposal facilities request leachability data or when a waste sits at the borderline between hazardous and non-hazardous classification.
Share your waste source and disposal route. Our chemists recommend the right test scope so you only pay for what’s required.
Submit samples to our Penang, Johor Bahru, or Selangor branch — or request on-site collection for VOC-sensitive or bulk waste.
ISO/IEC 17025-accredited analysis using ICP-OES, GC-MS, AAS, and standardized TCLP extraction equipment.
Results compared against EQR 2005 thresholds; recommended SW code provided with full regulatory citation.
